RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY

Buying and owning a home, whether a single family house, a townhouse or a condominium unit, may lead to issues or questions that you would like to discuss with an attorney. Landlords and tenants also have issues that may result in the filing of a complaint in landlord-tenant court or an administrative agency such as the Office of Landlord-Tenant Affairs.

Purchaser Representation. We often get calls from people who are about to or have signed a purchase and sale contract and would like an attorney to review it and answer some questions. While our firm does not hold real estate settlements, we can recommend settlement or title companies and will provide whatever level of service our clients desire, from providing advice in the background, getting actively involved in negotiating the resolution of a dispute, and/or attending settlement to represent the buyer or seller to address any issues or answer any questions that may arise.

Residences for Sale by Owner. We have assisted numerous individuals or couples who want to sell their homes without listing them with a broker. We can provide advice and prepare the required forms.

Homeowner and Condominium Associations. In addition to representing homeowner and condominium associations and their management companies, we also have experience representing individuals or groups of owners who have issues with their associations.

Landlord and Tenant Disputes. We have extensive experience in representing both landlords and tenants in the local landlord and tenant courts.
